Vintage Elegant and exquisite, one of a kind, signed Kramer of New York Blue baguette style cut rhinestone brooch in four dimensional layers with a large center-faceted stone surrounded by white and light blue sapphire rhinestones. Rhodium-plated metal setting, all stones prong set. Excellent vintage condition. Circa: Early 1950s. The piece is signed on the back in a cartouche, "Kramer of New York." Measurements are 2” W x 2”H. Pictures can’t do this broom justice. More beautiful in person. Gift bag included!
Louis Kramer was a top American costume jewelry designer of the 20th century. His New York-based company produced jewelry from 1943 until 1980. Kramer is well known for using only the finest Austrian crystal in his pieces. His designs were so exemplary that he was tapped by Christian Dior for his jewelry in the 1950s. Pieces can be signed Kramer, Kramer of New York and Christian Dior by Kramer.
